About the University YMCA

Since 1872, the YMCA at the University of Illinois has served as a place for meaningful dialogue and interaction between students, faculty, staff, and community members. With a dynamic, cooperative, and interfaith setting, the YMCA facilitates partnerships between diverse groups of individuals and creates a welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds. Members of the University Y engage in critical dialogue about social justice that catalyzes their personal growth as empathetic, thoughtful, and action-oriented citizens.
